Anyone ever think of trying one of these seats? Price seems right. I wonder what the ride would be like - no padding, but looks like it would give good support. would need to add a heat sheild and mounting brackets.

May even fit the fl350 and pilot seat frame.

I had a pair of the high backs in my dune buggy that I purchased from Summit Racing. They were actually quiet comfortable. Here's one like it used in an Ody.

Come on Lutrev, think hard and try to remember......don't tease us like that!

Finding that web site would be like the Holy Grail for us cheap bastards wanting to replace the seat for cheap!

Can you explain more about how the bolt holes lined up? Does it fit the honda frame or does it use a different bracket? Would it be possible to snap a couple pictures of the back side?

That is the same seat I was looking at. summit part number SUM-G2100C. I like the way the straps go throught the seat. i noticed in you pictue you do not have a horse collar. is that because of the seat or do you just not use it? How did it bolt up?

That is a picture of someone else's Ody from a Craigslist add. I have a pilot seat in mine and the wife's has a seat from Odysseysalvage.com. I don't use a horse collar. The P.O. I got mine from threw it out because it was weather rotted. My wife does and the belt set we got from Summit Racing just squeezed through the harness.

I put a $50 Ebay Kirkey seat in my one of my 350s years ago. I also made a base frame to lower it a bit and a tilt so I could access the Engine easier. The base frame was made from scrap angle iron. I also added a 5-point harness. It keeps me in place very securely, even while upside down...lol... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgQj8CVyIVM probably around 2004???

I have a second seat just like that one except it has a heat shield built in. Its going into my race 350 later this year.

Bumping an old thread because I am considering purchasing the summit highback seat. I was curious if anyone has done this recently? Pics? I think it be fairly easy to mount to a plate or make a angle iron bracket.

I'm wondering about a replacement also. My seat is not bad but has some cracks. It's still got water pouring out of it from when I washed the buggy 10 days ago. Got to be something cost effective that is a reasonably comfortable replacement. I see some folks using RZR seats but I pretty much only see pairs for sale and I'm not paying the asking price for those.

I'd gladly settle for a decent looking and durable cover but I talked to the upholstery guy I usually use and he was not interested in doing it but would charge $250 for a cover if he did. There used to be some on Ebay etc.. but I see none of those still for sale any where. I saw it suggested in another seat thread that a boat upholstery shop would be a good choice. There are a few in my area so I'm going to check on those guys next week.

My seat is badly cracked, I drilled a few small holes underneath the seat to drain the water out, but it still takes weeks to dry.
I believe chucklenuts at aftershot motorspurts still makes a nice seat cover, but it's way too expensive.

I'd rather just mod a race car seat than pay those prices.

Any designs for seat brackets? I bought a Kirkey seat several years ago because of this forum but have yet to install it

IMO socalgii has the best seat covers. PM him. He sells both fl350 and fl400 covers.

I contacted him on Ebay. He doesn't have any at this point. He told me he needed at least 5 guys to commit before he would have any more made. I told him I was in so guess we need 3 more.

I sent him a PM so we will see.

Here's what I'm thinking.if I can get commitment for 6 pilot and / or 6 fl350 covers. I will take off $25 -$30 off the eBay price. I'll need $75 up front and you'll have to be patient with my upholstery guy . He has a minimum requirement of 10 , but he won't do 5 pilot and 5 Ody covers. If there's interest out there maybe we see how many are interested and for what bike.

Different subject, did the fl250's have split rims?

So $145 - $30?

If so I could commit to 3 covers.

My 1977 Fl250 has split rims. I do not mess with the o-ring. I use RTV.
