I am adding led lighting to my 89 pilot but having a hard time finding the correct size bullet connectors. what size are the bullet connectors? where do you get them? it's hard to find them if i don't know the diameter/size of these tiny bullet connectors. I need both male and female, double bullets connectors would be ideal in both male and female.

I cant find my frick'n calipers. I looked on that site you posted previously to posting. the .156 and .180 connectors are too large for the OEM connectors. I have never seen bullet connectors this small in diameter. I haven't run across a smaller bullet connector searching the net yet. |

I found my calipers. no I wasn't lazy, I looked two days for the dang things. anyways... they measure 0.13" or 3.5MM measured with my cheap HF calipers. found some on amazon. thanks for the help |

that light bar looks familiar, I have the same one, it works great but if I remember correctly the switch won't handle all of the lights, I ended up putting a separate fused switch in for the light bar, you will want to be able to turn it off in dusty conditions as it just lights up everything in the air and makes it hard to see. |

I know what your saying about dust. thanks for bringing that up. might have to rethink. the two smaller lights are 18w each = 36w the OEM lights on high are 25w each= 50w without tail and brake lights. the larger light is 27w. so what I was thinking was the new light load would be a total of 63w and the charging system and switch could easily handle the extra 13w load?? from what I understand it has a 200w charging capacity?? switch, not sure. I was going to wire it using the existing terminals and switch with smaller lights on low and both sets on high. anyone see a problem with this?? or should I run new wire(s) that's switched and fused?? any need for a relay?? |
