Copper bars were bolted to the cases to back up the edge where its welded.

Small groove was ground into the case so you can follow the crack when welding.

All OEM bearings, seals, gaskets will be used. :-)

Thank you very much for your hard work, I can not tell you how much it is appreciated.

Make her strong, she is kind of like David against Goliath. You know 400cc against 900cc.

I actually got my axles out, yee ha. I should have the trans. prepped and installed this weekend I hope.

I don't think its welded in that pic? Just the piece sitting in place before welding.

More pictures, the old crank see the parts of the old piston in the oil groove of the big end bearing, the crank is still good but needs a rod kit installed, might be able to reuse the old rod just take apart, use new pin and bearing remove piston parts?

Perhaps I just missed it, and as much as I love new parts, Why did you have to install a new balancer? What was wrong with the old one?

Old balancer was still good Steve wanted a new one installed, old one will be kept for future spare.
