mr2angry2 sent me another one of his Pilot engines while I was on vacation so when I got back I started the CSI, it only took me 5 days to remove the cylinder  I never had a cylinder this hard to remove before, patients, persistence and PB blaster paid off in the end, after soaking it with PB blaster then trying to get the cylinder to move 3x a day for 5 days it finally came off with no damage to the parts and no caveman damage like trying to pry it apart with a screwdriver lol

About as caveman as I had to go was taking a plastic dead blow hammer and tapping up on the exhaust flange and tapping up on the reed cage, over and over a few hundred times, I also removed the head and put a rag between the top of the piston and the head, when you try to rotate the crank shaft the rag compresses between the head and piston then it tries to lift the cylinder off the crank cases.

Stock top end?? Looks like it will need some new base studs??

That's crazy how stubborn the cylinder was
I send you my stuff because I know you take care of it
Anyone else would of chiseled the heck out of it to pull up

Does it look like it was ever apart??

It appears to me that its never been apart and everything is original, probably the reason why it was so hard to get it apart, I had a hard time splitting the crank cases but everything looks ok, the crank is in great shape I did end up destroying both the cylinder dowels removing they were rusted in and one of the crank case dowels because it was rusted in place, I gave the cylinder a light hone and its in great shape just needs a new standard piston kit, I cleaned up the base studs but most all the coating on them is gone while they might look good they will rust easily in the future since that coating is gone, camera is in the shop will post up pics later.

Below is what I will need.
Standard bore piston kit (piston, ring, circlips, wrist pin, wrist pin bearing) It looks like Honda still has some std pistons left but no rings, what other Honda application had the same size bore that was 2 stroke that might have the rings also OR how about another mfg that used ART pistons with the same bore I wonder if they will fit ? Any 80mm 2 stroke ART rings will fit?
For example Prox 2 stroke pistons are made by ART so I wonder if they will work, maybe a call to prox would get an answer? http://www.shop.pwcxtreme.com/PRO-X-KAW ... P4480R.htm

Two cylinder dowels 94301-12200 http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/h ... 12200.html
One case dowel 90701-HE0-000 (says discontinued) Looks like this one is the same and cost 1/2 as much http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/h ... 9-000.html 90701-399-000 PIN, DOWEL (10X28) Order 6 of these I will pay you for them I might as well stock some
4 Cylinder studs 92900-10045-3B http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/h ... 45-3B.html Order 8 of these I might as well stock these also

More later... Added pics of the bad dowels and the cylinder studs

I can also place the partzilla order for those bolts and dowels you needed etc

Are you all done tearing down? I won't place order til I know I'm in the clear

4 Studs were going to be yours, 5 of the dowels I was going to keep for stock and use one on your Engine.

Yeah buddy and your Engine is done and ready to ship tomorrow :-)

Hoserized the cases, lapped the gasket surfaces to ensure they are flat, installed new bearings and seals, new std wiseco piston, rings, wrist pin, clips, the reeds are in great shape, intake manifold is still pliable no cracks.

Honed the cylinder, removed a bunch of the casting flaws they should have removed at the foundry before shipping to Honda, this will help thing flow much better, beveled the ports, prepped the piston, head is nice and flat.

Glad it made it ok, I think its a crap shoot any more with shipping, I hate all shipper just about equally now.

You say anything about the condition you receive a package in the shippers claim you didnt pack it right then they get the most stupid look on their faces when you tell them "the box was brand new and in brand new condition when you accepted the package and took the money, you said nothing about the package not being right when accepting the money and gave a receipt, you do this shipping thing for a living correct? ALL the damage to the package was done when the package was in your care and custody not ours! How again are all these damaged packages out fault? "

I've heard of guys shipping in a small cooler which I debated on but I took the chance and they arrived back in good shape no damage yet!! Ups was the only close call

Fed ex or usps were the shippers that didn't damage the shipments
