Mudbogger sent me two engines for CSI this is the Throttle Pilot Engine number 1 Both engines were packed the same in a plastic tub surrounded by thick foam board. Pictures of before the trip to the shop sink to remove the first layer of crap, plenty of exhaust leaking going on.

All indications are this Engine has never been apart. With the head off you can see the Engine was run on the lean side, whole top of the piston is covered in carbon, almost the whole head is covered with carbon.

Here are some of the effects of the jetting being too lean the crown of the piston gets so hot when the air/fuel makes contact with the bottom of the piston crown its ignited and burns all the way back up the transfers it also lights off the mix around the crank bearings.

Everything looks like new in the balancer case, appears to be a low hour Engine. Attachment: DSCN2182.JPG [ 94.36 KiB | Viewed 4277 times ] Before you split the cases you need to remove the rust from the crank, before and after pics.

Both bearings were stuck to the crank had to use the clam shell bearing puller to get them off.

Hoser sorry about the dirt again, my apologies! should i get some rod kits for these 2 engines while we got them apart? It was running a totally stock air intake system with a stock air filter, stock carb, set everything internally, I never ran it but for about 5 minutes and pulled it for a fresh engine- |

Hoser any updates on this Engine by chance? Was this the Engine that needed the 80.5 pistons Adnoh had made for us? |
