Rear right axle bearings were bad, had to grind one bearing down and break it off the hub it was so rusted on.

This Pilot is used in nasty dusty trails, coal dust is a killer to combat this it gets hoserized, I installed the dual intake mod and pre filters.

Hare's coolant over flow bottle has a crack in the bottom someone tried to repair it but it leaked out, he never sent a new one but I got a loaner that will get him by, this one has a hole on top, a mouse tried to chew through, I took a 5/16 bolt and some yamabond and threaded it into the hole by hand, its not under pressure so it will hold and seal the only time it will be in contact with coolant will be from it splashing, under normal riding it will not be a problem if he rolls over it might weep a few drops out? Doubt it the bolt threaded in tight and it seems to be sealed.

Yup sure do, cleaned, oiled, only used around the grass yard, pretty much no dirt can ride without glasses or goggles air is so clean, riding by myself so their is no chance of dust from the guy in front of me, don't worry it will be w UNI foam filter and their will be pre filters installed before it sees 1/2 gallon of gas used :-) the filter in the box will be used as a pre filter on another project so it will no longer harm engines.

Found one of my old rear bumpers and rebuilt it again this sucker has been rebuilt 4-5 times and is well tested, its ugly but will work perfectly for GNCC bashing you wont even flinch when someone runs into it and bends it up lol it looks rough mainly because I set a 2 hr time limit on the bumper project, that includes going into the attic looking for it all repairs and painting lol

Hoser is the rear bumper to wide? meaning will it rub the tire if it gets bent in or is it just a optical illusion from the pic?

Ask mikey how much the UTV guys like to run into you........

Dunno Joe can decide that when he sees it in person, I would take care of the ramming thing at the riders meeting and make sure all the UTV guys understand if their was ramming I would put the Pilot sideways in the trail blocking the trail so they could not get by then get out of the Pilot and take care of the guy that was ramming me, their is NO NEED or NO EXCUSE for ANYBODY to be ramming others, their is no need for even slight bumping or "rubbing" to let another know you want to pass they make HORNS just for this.

If you don't say anything at the riders meeting BEFORE the race and say it loud to ensure everybody hears you then their should be no bitching and crying after the race.

Someone might want to call or email the GNCC officials and express concern about the ramming that happen at the last race and get the ball rolling, why wait if I was going to call them I would ask them straight up "are you going to control and police the ramming and is their any penalty it they get caught"

Shame you gotta tell some asshole your not their for him to destroy your ATV.

I think the bumper should do fine. Hoser, I can't thank you enough for tackling that machine, it would of been a pilot parts sale if left up to me.

You can say no contact all you want but it makes no difference in the heat of battle, rubbing is racing at least GNCC racing. Most times it is unintentional, other times its to let you know they want to pass, same with a scream or reving the Engine, after a few times asking if they don't respond you have to take it, all bets are off if the guy winds up in the trees so be it his choice otherwise if someone comes up from behind you that means he is going faster than you are and it would be nice to pull over first safe chance you get. Saying something at the riders meeting would be like crying in 4th grade when the bully picks on you, you just make yourself more of the target.

Anyway what can you do when someone slower than you holds up the trail and doesn't pull over to allow passing?

Let all the guys you put time on catch back up, I don't think so.

Well said

I suggest anybody going to the race to expect to come home with a trashed broken Pilot and the rest of the racers can pray your able to fix it before the next race so your not racing alone.

I believe the only reason the Pilots are allowed to race is because John from Trackside pulled some favors and as long as the Pilot guys fly under the radar and don't make any waves they don't mind having us there.

I understand the moving over part but when we start last off the line and the fastest UTV's are already around and your stuck behind a line of 20 other machines with no where to pull over what good does it do to beat yourself around the person in front of you? wait until your in the open.

that's racing, that is the whole intent, its designed to be a huge one line bottle neck slow moving frustrating race , what hare says is partly right, it works for bikes and quads where you can hear a guy rev the Engine or yelling to move over, then that's only effective when their IS A PLACE or ROOM TO PASS someone, it was to my understanding the UTVs were banging and pushing when their was NO PLACE TO GO it was a one liner through the tight woods, and doing damage in the process, that's just plain stupid they should throw out the black flag on them like they do in truck and buggy racing, the Pilots Odysseys and UTV's need to use a horn like truck and buggys do in racing but then again the bottom line is beeping a horn does no good when their is no place for someone to pull over.
