Started on hares spare basket case Pilot Engine, it came in a bazillion pieces.

The case have had a weld repair on the clutch side by the crank, nice looking repair job.

The crank is nice and tight but it came with a bearing fused to the clutch side I had to grind it off to remove.

Looks like this Engine had seen a rod failure in the past you can see where the rod hit the cases, I hoserized the cases for better oiling and lapped them they are nice and flat.

Before I can assemble any further I need a balancer if you remember I use the balancer out of this Engine for the K&N Filter HAIRY-ASS-Pilot CSI project. someone had modified that one and remove the balance weight

I need to go through the rest of the pile of parts to see if their is anything else I need I am sure their are some nuts and bolts missing somewhere lol

The right side case needs a few hours of cleaning up and rebuilding the water pump before its ready to install, all the rest of the parts are plenty dirty too. :-)
