I'm going to check out this FL350R next week or so, what do I need to know before pulling the trigger? How would I know for certain that it has a post-recall Engine? The machine sure looks good from the pics and while I'm slightly handy in the garage and willing to learn, I don't want to get buried in an endless project from the get go. On the pics of the Engine, the cooling fins appear to be straight, is this indicative of a pre-recall Engine? Thanks!!!

The Engine in the pics looks like it has a pre-recall head. |

Will the Engine serial number also be marked with an asterisk? If neither are marked and the owner isn't sure about the recall, how much would it cost to bring the Engine up to snuff? Thanks for your help...much appreciated!!! |

Their was all kinds of stuff done to the FL350 during the recall, they replaced the whole top end of the Engine changed the ignition, changed gears in the transmission, the updates were done to fix a bunch of problems, supposedly ALL 350's were recalled and the updates performed if that Ody does not have the X on the frame after the vin number and it has the pre recall head I would say they missed one, a non recalled 350 would have to sell cheap before I would buy it because of the gamble its going to cost you big to repair in the future. |

It followed me home...   Also came with two spare engines...both NOS with the factory coating on the pistons still intact.

Wow great find. I would have let it follow me home too if it was carrying two new engines. Hopefully bearings still have the grease and crank is ok. I would at lest inspect all STEEL components in the new Engine before installing. Sleeves are probably rusted from sitting, maybe just a hone and throw it in. |

Those are probably the pre recall engines they swapped out for new engines.. Good score regardless. |

The buggy also has a NOS Engine installed. No rust on these puppies...brand new...just a bit of dust. I'll probably sell one and keep the other as a spare. |
