Guys,
I recently acquired a FL350R and am desperatly trying to get her to run properly.
She had a bashed front end and no brakes, but the
Engine was running (seemingly well) with a bungeed dirt bike gas tank on the roof.
Spent a bit of time and a LOT of money fixing the front end and going through all the brakes, but she ran AWESOME!
Unfortunately around turns the roof "mounted" gas tank would fly off.
So I orded a spun aluminum gas tank to replace the other one.
While I was waiting to get the new gas tank, I decided to pull the carb to clean it out and hopefully fix a small fuel leak, which I thought was a stuck float.
So put her all back together, and she ran awesome!
Then I added more gas, and she barely ran.
Pulled the carb, cleaned it out, then she ran awesome again.
Until I added gas again.
Now I cant get her to start.
Getting spark, plug is clean, compression at ~120.
So, what now?
I would like to verify the fuel system is correct.
I have read many posts saying gravity feed does not work.
I have also read it can work if you change out the floats.
-Where to source the new floats and which ones?
-If I should add a pump, which one would be best?
-Any fuel line routing schematic available?
-Can I just replace the carb with one capable of gravity feed?
-If so, which one and where to get?
Sorry for the long post and all the questions!
Really want to get this thing running well and throw up some dirt!!
