Ok, I got my cylinder back from the shop today. Looks freakin awesome, like brand new.

They did the bridge work, boring, piston hole drilling, media blast and acid dip.

So I am ready to put it all together tonight.

I bought one of Speedchasers metal base gaskets off ebay.

Do I need to put any spray coating or sealent on the top or both sides?

I noticed the stock Honda gasket did have some type of a thin bead of sealant on the top surface.

Thanks

It LIVES!!! should fire it up tonight finally!!!!!!

You can use some copper coat on both sides, don't need a lot both surfaces should be flat anyways your only trying to seal against leaks its takes a magnifying glass to see if you can see bigger imperfections they need repaired.

Make sure you put the piston in the right way ring gaps facing the intake side, drilled holes on the exhaust side.

I second the Permatex on the Speedchaser base gasket! It works great!
