Can you post pictures of your Ody's intake and exhaust?

Each and every Ody can be a little different on jetting so you will need a few main jets to find out which one is the right for your Engine's needs.

You mentioned picking up an air filter also so that will also effect your jetting. I would suggest having a 142, 145 and 148 main jet on hand.

AFTER THE PROPER HEAT CYCLES AND BREAK IN WITH THE NEW BORE AND PISTON.....

If you truly have no other modifications other than what you mentioned, start out with the 148. Go out and warm it up for at least 15 minutes then do some plug chops to see how she runs and what your plug looks like. Remember, start out way too rich and work your way down to the proper main jet. You are after a nice dark UPS truck brown coloring of your spark plug. Remember, jets and plugs are cheap! Start too fat and work your way down.

By the way if you blow a u joint it will take out the shock. You need something like below, it called a shock saver. Chains with shrink tube over the top to keep them from slapping around. Works great.

Yes on the pump. It is a Mercedes pump and they are cheap. Can get a model number is you want it.
The head --- that's home made. Same as cylinder. I believe I post the link in an earlier part of this post.

I looked and looked and can't find the part number but here is the pump I use. Purchased it from autotech USA Florida but you can get it anywhere. Like Rand said it's a Bosch aux water pump. They have a very low amp draw which is good because the oddy electrical system is weak.

On that water pump how are you guys making the electrical connection? It looks like the terminals are pretty deep in that female recessed area. Are you able to get the plug somewhere? Are you guys mounting vertical? Horizontal? or does orientation matter?

Electrical connection is dependent on which unit you purchase. Mine has 2 wires that protrude from the unit. Others have dual posts on the bottom that you can use female bayonet connectors and of course there are the units that require the plug to be installed on it. I would think that you could use a dremel tool to remove the plastic guard for the wires in order to access the male prongs on the bottom of the pump.

Orientation of the unit doesn't matter. Mine is mounted vertically and low enough so if it fails, you will still get a thermosiphon effect.

Check your mail box.
That's detonation !! Shitty fuel.
I see that the edge of the piston is "chipped" away and not melted.

We all ready know that your Ody was extremely under jetted (120 main when you should be running a 142 at minimum). I have seen this same thing happen to Ridindirty's Ody when the three way valve failed when he was pushing it hard in the dunes.

I use ethanol free fuel in all my toys whenever possible. Alot of the older rubber seals were never meant to withstand the ethanol and can accelerate the deterioration of orings and seals and even fuel lines. Especially when sitting for more than a month at a time I will add sta-bil to the fuel to help keep it from going bad. I have had very good luck with these practices. Not saying you will never have an issue doing this, just I have had great luck.

Yes!

The Ody was designed to run on a fuel with a RON rating of 92 - 100.

92 RON translates to 87.5 to 91.50 U.S. octane rating. Personally I wouldn't run anything less than 91 octane and or course if you can get it without ethanol, by all means do so!
