WTF ??
Need a better picture of it at farther out.
I have never seen that.
Was someone trying to stop the driven clutch from turning when they put it in gear to prevent it from grinding the gears ??
That should not be used in my opinion.
Need another picture please.

Havnt seen one of those in a while.

That was a special option only available in the US, I guess none made it to Canada.

Sorry guys started putting it back together so can't really get a better pic but someone spent a lot of time "engineering" it.

Well that last pic tells me for sure that it was someone's solution to the FL350 grinding the gears when you put it in foreword or reverse.

Taking a little bit of time now to look at that set up and I think it is a brilliant solution to the gear grinding issue. The only thing I don't like about it is the way that brake shoe is sitting on the clutch housing. It needs to sit flat so that the bicycle brake shoe rubber is grabbing the clutch.

IT was an option for descending very loose gravel roads on extremely hilly terrain.

It applied just enough braking force to not allow the rear tires to skid.

The concept is to use the drive belt to cushion the shock to the rear tires so they don't break loose.

Really no reason to sell them in Canada I guess.

I know your poking me but it won't work -- nice try.
Good gear grinding solution though. I like it now. Just needs fixn.

Maybe I'll keep it and tweek it a little, funny thing is I get no grinding when shifting maybe it did at one time, also went to get the rear tires swapped out and found out the two rear rims are different with different offsets, this explains Me trying to figure out what was bent on the rear suspension............. nothing. :)

Traced down the owner that installed this,he said he added it to stop the clutch in turn stopping the grinding while shifting, looks like I owe someone a beer. :-)
