You need the hoses to keep the gas/oil off the belt and clutches.

Two are vents one is the over flow when the gas level gets too high in the carb my guess is the fuel level is too high, wrong float level or needle not seating.

just wanted to thank everybody who has helped me with this project,I feel im so close!
I know im going to regret not going ahead and getting the bottom end done too,but ive run out of funds and patience,I'm dying to ride this thing!!

Ive got about 30 minutes tops on this Engine since rebuild.First compression test i did was before Engine was ever cranked was 135 with one gasket.I ended up taking head back off and going with the 3 gaskets.Did not do a compression test immediately after putting on the 3 gaskets because I was having carb problems and forgot about it.Just checked compression again and its at 120,that's with Engine cold or warm,gas depressed all the way.For those new to the party,no i didnt do a leak down test.

Re torque the bolts when you get a chance... After running a bit they sometimes work loose

I had checked them once already but it wouldn't hurt to check them again,thanks
