Hope you all can help me out. I've begun to rebuild an 84 FL250; I'm going to send the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) to hoser, and am tackling the reduction case myself. I took the secondary clutch off of the case and noticed it's different from what I'm seeing on the web. I bent the movable face with my 3 jaw puller trying to get it off the transmission so I just bought a stock replacement on ebay, but am thinking it's the wrong one.

The secondary clutch looks stock, but the cam doesn't look like what I see on-line. Any input/help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder what that clutch came off of, my guess would be a snowmobile.

Start searching for another driven.

I bought my fl350 driven from sledpartsguy on evilbay it was like 167 bux shipped but I see prices on the coment clutches has went way up since they were bought out. http://stores.ebay.com/Sledpartsguy-Sup ... d=10789423

Thanks hoser. I found this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-FL250-ODY ... df&vxp=mtr.

It says it's a stock replacement; this may be a better option then paying the same price for a used OEM unit.

New is always better its kinda pricy but you should never have to worry about another for a long time.

I still would like to know what application the clutch you have was off of the Honda and the Comet setup uses a single key way for the outer helix and they were known to be problems in the early years but the clutch you have has much more surface area than a single key.

I would too; the clutch is really stout, compared to the stock piece that I bought off of ebay.

If you want, I can send it to you; it's not going to do me any good.

hoser,

Looks like you were right about this being a snowmobile secondary. I found this while searching: http://www.ebay.com/itm/74-75-JOHN-DEER ... 9e&vxp=mtr
