Mikey and Hare- Are you going ?? How many ? I can put in the table request on my card If you want.... just let me know how many. You will owe me $33 per person show up or not..... John talked to Rita and she said there was still room availability. We might not be spending the night in the hotel that's still up in the air.
Trackside and I find ourselves in trouble when we are in Morgantown after midnight....
I think that the racer at the table with the least points has to buy drinks.... I believe that's an unwritten rule of The GNCC Banquet.... I am pretty sure Trackside has the least points....

A Room has been Reserved.

A round of golf on Saturday anyone? Should be cheap, I already have a Kart and certainly don't need any clubs.

It will be Terri and myself, so two and a half for us! Thanks!!!

We could do an epic winter ride if you guys want to drive another 15 miles north... The only problem is I think that's deer season, so we couldnt ride saturday, but sunday might be an option ???
Trackside will that be too cold for you ? We could ask Roy to give us a winter tour of Seven creeks??

Mike - Hare : If you have not reserved a room DON'T. If you have cancel it...
To make a long story short Pilot class has been removed from Top Ten / Top 20 consideration in the UTV class. And NO Trackside and I had nothing to do with it, because we didnt win the points Champoinship.
We were looking forward to going to the Banquet.
Trackside is going to post an explanation as soon as he gets to his computer.

AWWW! WTF man, don't they know who we are? We are Trackside's Friends! I mean we are the Pilot Guys! You can't have a series class and cancle it after the last race!

Anyways and yeah right, i know you guys, you are planning something. Trick us out of going so you guys can show up and take first and second place. Fool me once shame on you...

I'll be there to collect my swag no matter what you say.

I got the official word today. No Series Awards for Pilots this year. I completely understand their position. The class was only started on my request so we could be an "exihibition class". I was very surprised when they did give out series awards for the class last year.

There is a lot of red tape that goes on behind the scenes in a series like this. The main sponsor is Can Am and it will not benefit them one bit by giving awards to Pilots.

I looked at the database and find that there are some races where we are the second largest class. Then, when you factor in that most Pilots actually FINISH the race instead of getting a DNF, the Pilots are pushing many UTV racers out of having a TOP 10 number. If Can Am hopes to have some Can Am Commanders in the Top 10 for 2011, then they would want all the Honda Pilots out of the contention.

Sorry Hare, there were going to be some great awards for the winner of the class. Not to be.

This is not a cruel joke... see below email from gnccracing.com in response to my question about Pilots earning National #'s.
I guess when Can-Am starts making a single seat buggy then they will give out awards again...

from gnccscoring.com:
Actually no, Pilots are not in the top 10 and do not earn numbers. Just found out myself.

I think that because they knew I was going to hit every race next year, it is likely that my OVERALL for 2011 would be signficantly higher than what Hare did this past year. They had to put a stop to it before I got in the top 3.

To be honest, I am totally fine with it, for me going to a banquet it more of a thanks to the promoter (no complaints about the swag) my good times are on the track.

my last post was hoping you guys would squirm a little, that where true happiness comes from, that and knowing i have the one and only #1 National Pilot Title

and you guys cant have it!

so is there any talk of NOT letting us race next year? that would be the heart breaker

for a start up class I say we have done well, every race we have at least 5 or 6 riders. We do put on a good show, have men and women competing together, havent hurt anybody and hell they even moved us up a couple of rows in the starting order, we deserve some props.

Maybe we will have to start our own series, now we just have to convince the flat track guys that trees don't move.

From the promoters pooint of view he might realize that since there is no factory support or even the fact that these are no longer even being made, you might not make it back! Kind of what uim running into out here! Redline should have been all over this stuff! It would have Opened up a whole other market for them!!! I was saddened to see redline fail! I was able to race along side of them much easier than just utv's!!! I am hoping whiplash and glen helen continue to let me race in the future, and at this point wish I would have bought a rzr-s or rhino instead of my one lap wonder!!!
