Wow, they've been talking about this for a long time!

This was passed by Corzine right before he left office.

Central Jersey would be sweet!

Thanks for the heads up.

Need to find more information on this indeed! Wonder what the db level will be, the park will be trails or a track style? Wonder if they require registration and insurance as well?

I think I read the property is larger but they are only using about 10 acres just to get it open and going.

If by ditch ride you mean Illegal ride? (I spent many many years doing this)

that's no joke here anymore also, they will and do impound your shit and make you pay dearly to get it back.

The one legal park we did have was closed because they found a rare tree frog on the property!

I'm going to take a ride down one of these weekends and check out the new spot.

Hell you would think if they could attract people for 10 acres a private land owner would open up shop with 100 acres and make some money.

Then again if the state was forced into opening up a riding area for the public that might be all you get if it never stated how big it had to be when they signed it into law

I hope it expands into thousands of acres in the future I seen a lot of nice looking riding areas in the Pine Barrens when I was there.

They are supposed to open 3 parks is what I read somewhere - 1 South Jersey, 1 Central and 1 in North Jersey.

25 years back we use to be able to camp and ride in the Pine Barrens all the time - no fees/park and ride... 2hr ride and you were there.

Shame its all gotten closed due to the laws and litigation with can't fix stupid people. Now its pretty much all "outlaw" riding.

Yup and Yup, Hoser and Pilotman are both right.

The site was a private MX track for years.

The pines has endless miles of great trails, grew up riding there.

I'm hoping the "central" park is closer to me, but I think they will have a hard time squeezing that one in.Someone will not be happy and prevent it from happening.
