Kind of hard to go swimming at Pismo....you have to walk out at least 100 yards before the water even gets to your waist!

We used to skim board being pulled by a three wheeler or buggy there back in the 80's. Now in Komifornia you can't do anything without getting a ticket. Still a fun place to ride though.

Looks like an awesome trip

I'm going out in two weeks, looks like a Wed-Fri/Sat, with some buddies and our boys

Any pointers?

We will be taking a 27' toy hauler in a redneck lifted diesel F250 and another trailer with a 4 seater sand rail

Now here are the items that have us hung up with our kids....

#1 my son has a 110cc chinese quad that a neighbor in the business gave me. When it comes to paperwork, I have nothing. I can make a bill of sale, but according to DMV, that won't be enough

#2 Also, for anyone with lil ones, is there a place on site to get the "safety course" out of the way? How long will that take?

I want this trip to be fun for the kids. They would just put put around the camp site, but I don't want there to be an issue with a ranger if we don't have red/green stickers for the kids toys

To be honest don't worry about it. Rangers don't patrol like at glamis they are more concerned with speeders on tge beach and the helmet law. You can go and buy a non resident tag from the atv store at the beach entrance with no id required. My kids have neen riding with no certification just make sure someone is actively watching them

There were some people in the water, it's not quite as shallow as that, I'd say 50 yards = about 5'-6' deep

Nobody ever answered my question about the temps,I just looked up the forecast for the next 10 days for Pismo and I was shocked,I wasn't expecting it to be that cold,no wonder no one was swimming.High of 70 in the next 10 days? I guess I'm to used to this Tx weather,I thought it would at least be in the high 80's there

The weather at pismo is 70-80 year round. Perfect gettaway in the summer to scratch the dune itch and cool down

That's good to hear, one of the guys going on this trip is military and still has an active AZ drivers license

If they don't ask for existing paperwork, he'll get two non resident tags and we'll be good to go..except for the kids safety course

Thanks
