Riding pemit fees are $30.50 a day or $108.00 for a year. Not Cheap when you take the family.

this only for public land use...

Windrock and Brimstone are privately owned so need for the state permit. I talked to them both on the phone to confirm.

I wasn't aware and didnt check ride royal blue before i spoke. This may be changing, that is crazy to pay $100 per person for 3 days.

Read this before you commit to Brimstone http://www.rzrforums.net/eastern-riding ... stone.html? Guess now your forced to camp only at specific camp grounds if you want to ride them trails.

I wouldn't stay in Ride blues campground, its not like it looks on the website, I know I stayed there last year in march. There is a comfort inn at the huntsville exit ( that's the next exit past Ride Royal blues exit)that is clean and cheap and they watch your trailers at night. We are going down the last weekend in March but should be able to come in June. We ride in that area 3 or 4 times a year, Brimstone sucks for pilots or oddys and royal blue has a couple of hundred miles of trails that are great for them. There is not alot at that exit were the comfort inn is but the next exit south (about ten minutes) has alot.

POOA Mid West Fest

I wanted to attend Trikefest at Haspen Acres Indiana, on June 21~23.
I may not be able to make a June event, or we could move it to Haspen…
However that time of year a venue that is a little cooler might be better.

Brimstone

I’m a little bummed about Brimstone.
I had taken the family there a couple of time each of the last two years.
The Trails End campground is a nice place, they have trailer spots set in amongst the trees.
My wife has her favorite spots picked out, she calls in and reserves them well in advance.
The Brimstone camp ground is a parking lot.

It’s difficult to understand the logic of this.
I was spending $30 per person a day to ride ($120 for the family) and $25 to camp.
It seems like they are picking up so little revenue and losing so much.
It almost sounds like a personal spat.
Count me out on that.
The guys from work are planning a trip end of March but now I am not going.
I hope they get things resolved.

I wonder if it would do any good for people to call and tell these people basically the same thing your telling here so they are aware, I read a bunch of people have called them to get a refund on their permits I am sure that sends a strong message.

With so few quality places to ride in the mid west its a shame to see another spot tarnished by such a stupid act.

I live close to Haspen (20 mins), I was there over thanksgiving weekend this past year. This is where I took my pilot riding the day I purchased it in 1993, and it was november and muddy as hell, I think I got 30 lbs of mud off of it later that day...lol. I must say that it has really changed for the worst since 93 but I still go for convience.
