I did that to my fingernail once and once the nail was gone, that sucker was tender as hell and I bumped in on everything constantly.

Sure was happy when the nail finally grew out. I did it to my toe once and the nail grew back weird and has been a pain in the ass and sensitive ever since.

It was my first nail loss so a different sensation. Feels much better but do tend to hit it constantly. guessing a few months it will be normal again.
