Now your talking about playing in my neighborhood!

Have you ever been there before? By the way it's 40 bucks for the week....in case you didn't know.

I just might to have to drag my crew out there with you! It's only 90 miles for me Ha Ha!

We went there a few years ago on our crf450's. will be my first trip with the ody. Would love to have more people. This is the first time We've been with this crew. One of my crew went with them a couple years ago and said it was a good time. Should be 30ish guys from what I hear but who knows. Will be a new bunch for us well see how it turns out. Hope to see ya there

Is there a reason you go to sand mountain and not dumont dunes?

I would say its a matter of distance. Sand mountain is around 350 miles closer!

Redding to Sand Mountain is 285 miles

Redding to Dumont Dunes is 631 miles.

RidinDirty said he read it in the paper it is currently closed because of the shut down. As far as actually closing the place, I guess they are blocking the entrance.

I called Fallon power sports and they said they had someone call them from there who said it was open and there was no signs or barricades. I'm hoping it'll be resolved by next weekend. I'd hate to drive 5 hours and find it blocked off

Thst would suck

Don't feel bad that the 350 didn't get to the top, I've never seen a stock pilot make it to the top either.

Pictures man pictures! :-)

Jason, did you get to take the trip to the north end of the dune field know as the "end of the earth"? There are a lot of trails that I like to take rather than try to race up the top of the mountain.

Here is a video of Ridindirty and myself at Sand Mountain back in May of this year. This is the south end of the mountain where the dune isn't quite so long of a haul to get to the top.

We need to get all of you Nor. Cal. guys together for a trip to Sand Mountain in the near future. If not before winter then we need to plan one for spring.

Most of the morons spend their time drag racin the big hill.....up and down, up and down, up and down up and down..... you get the idea.

I like to do trail riding on the other side of the mountain away from the idiots!

Glad you went before today. You just missed the bad weather. We are snowing here in Carson City and it is a lot colder now. The weather changes quick around here.

After I tried climbing the big hill a few times I rode around in the same area you see ridin in on the video. I didn't see any other 350's or pilots there. Was a great time. It was the first time I've really ridden it and I realize its pretty thirsty.

OOPS! I guess no one told you that Ody's get around 10 mpg!

The only way you're going to get to the top in a FL350 Ody is to ride the ridge from the smaller dunes or if you're a 14 year old kid who weighs 100 pounds! It's a long steep climb! I have never seen a Pilot or Ody at the top. I have been up there in a sand rail and my modified TRX400EX. Even on my 400EX the last 100 yards was screaming in second gear!

Nah, not yet. I wanna get on rebuilding it after the first of the year. The Engine is out of it. It's been on the back burner unfortunately :-)
