Pilot Engine? If so check the harness where it comes out of the Engine and crosses under the frame to the other side of the Pilot seen the harness get damaged in that area cause charging problems.

Sorry hoser, I wasn't very specific on which car. I only took the revolt it's the one that has problems. On a good note I was able to take the Volkswagen jetta TDI pulling my little trailer. Only cost me 35 bucks round trip :) that made me very happy haha!

Time to throw paddles on that Yetta, HAHAHA!!!!

I will be reviewing my videos this week and loading them up. I put one of from my phone, jumping my rc car at little dumont. Got that sucker pretty high.

Some highlights of the trip: Had fun on this trip. Didn't do as much riding as I normally like, lots of break downs to deal with. Ate some good deer meat out there, camera mount worked OK but it shook around too much making video bumpy so I will work on it some more. Snapped my drive belt in half in the Revolt and threw it up into the oil cooler line, popped the line off the oil cooler barb, ripped the hose in several spots, and the hose clamp must have hit the clutch since I have big gouges in it now. Guess I gotta fix or replace it. Belt break was my fault, I landed off a jump on the power and the trans doesn't have a slipper like a pilot does. DOH! Before the belt broke I raced Halo's Drakart up comp hill a few times. My revolt has more bottom end pull but about half way up the hill he would pass me. Trick or Treating went on Saturday night which was cool, seeing all the kids and the hot MILFs dressed up :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) I will post up some pics and videos soon. Saturday night Westecbuilder dipped in to his firework stash and pulled out 4 roman candles. I challenged him to a duel! 30 paces, turn and fire! He smiled and giddley replied, "you want to?!?!" Oh yeah, it was on!!! As we walked to the duel range, he got into character and said, "You have insulted my honor, sir!" It was then my duty to participate in the age old gentlemen's duel tradition and fight to the death! Or at least till we get a little sparked and crispied! We walked off 30 paces, turned, I got mine lit first and started firing! I sort of aimed high, left, right, maybe actually tried to hit him once, but never really got close. Well, he didn't give me that courtesy! After all, I did insult his honor! I was dodging missles left and right, getting sparks in my hair, and laughing like a school girl!!! I would have to say it was a pretty fun trip, just not enough riding. Guess Shoubadaba and I will make up for that this coming weekend in Glamis

Yup, it is my fault for not having the belt guard on. Would have saved me for sure. One of the brackets is broken, so I will either have to weld it back together or make a new one. I might even make a belt guard out of aluminum similar to a pilot's plastic one.

Yeah just something to stop the flying belt if your not trying to keep crap out of the clutches.

My biggest fear is getting smacked in the head or back by a belt or parts from the clutch, on my 440 the pipe doubles as a belt guard lol

Actually the first belt I broke with my Redline was with the guard on and it took out the oil Line (the Small line to the crankcase). The second belt that broke was without the guard and it had no damage. So the guard didnt help in my case.

I have never broke a belt just shredded a few usually from over heating .

Sounds like their is a design problem if the guard didnt protect vital parts like an oil line think a mod can be done to protect better hate to see a ride trip cut short because of something like this.

The belts you guys are using are they Kevlar reinforced?

Most belts come with a year warranty is the mfg backing them up?

the frist belt I broke was Redlines Gen 1. they then upgraded it. the Second was my fault. Just ran the same belt to long. Didnt inspect it close enough. The plastic guard is open in the back and the cords wrapped around the clutch and got to one oil line. Actually cracked the guard at one of the mounts.

Got a few videos uploaded. One of the belt breaking with my rear facing camera...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osVSPpJ3v7o

An onboard video of my RC car climbing up some slip face. Camera was throwing off the center of gravity and was really hard to keep the front wheels down. Then, a wire came unsoldered...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OWeW6zIozU

I really like this video. I am a big kid at heart. Shoubadaba was recording, his daughter Hazel is featured as well, and the big guy who looks like Mr. Clean is Halorising. You can also hear Toby aka Dune Dart in the background. If you watch close, you can see I pull some nice wheelies and am able to ride them quite a bit on this hill...

Last video for now, we went to little dumont and found a nice razor to play on with the rc car. Jumped it a few times.

Have you guys checked your clutches-drive to driven-for parallelism?
Use a straight edge at the back of the drive clutch and measure the gaps at the driven back edge.

That's cause we still haven't gotten a real ride together yet! All I got was you drag racin Rusty with your 583. Maybe this next trip your street bike car and my Revolt will stay together long enough for a few good rides!
