I am going to meet up with Randy, Shoubadaba's brother, Friday December 13th and crash at his house. Saturday, we will head to Amargosa for a day trip. I am only taking the RZR-S for this trip. Will crash at Randy's Saturday night as well, then head home Sunday. If anyone wants to meet us and ride, hit me up. If you don't have my cell, I can PM it to you.

I'm not taking the RV, just the wife's tacoma and a 10' flatbed. I will be there after sunset I believe, maybe I will see something. Shoubadaba's dad has told me stories of strange stuff he has seen out there at night, huge beams of light crossing the sky in different colors...

Leaving today after work. Wife flaked out on my last night, so flying solo. Wish she would have flaked out a few days earlier so I would have had time to prep the Revolt. Oh well, RZR is already loaded and ready to go. Tick tock tick tock

You guys have fun and be safe, take a good long look at Google earth before you go their is some desert trails that go West and some South from the dunes that take you back to CA.

IMO the best place to park is along that gravel road that is on the South side of the dunes and runs sorta East to West.

Unless something has changed that entrance on the East side from the paved road is pretty rough and hard on truck and trailer getting in and out.

Had a fun trip. Got to Vegas Friday at about 6:15pm and met up with Shoubadaba's brother Randy. Went to Ceasar's Casino and met up with PPP, his wife, Rppjr, and a few of Randy's friends. The show "Absynth" was freaking awesome! Had a great night, spent way too much money on booze, but the show was free so I don't feel too bad about it. Woke up early Saturday and headed out to the dunes. Passed a brothel on the way there, I had never seen one before (honest, I never had!!! LOL) Rode all day, played with the RC car, did some fun hill climbs with it, jumped it off the top of a huge ass dune!!! Got 4 different videos of it from 4 different angles, will upload to youtube soon. Actually, one is already up, but it is the worst video, you can barely see anything. Also hit the dunes with the RC car and Randy driving the RZR with me in the passenger seat driving in front of us, SO FREAKIN FUN!!!!! If you ever have the chance to do that, I highly recommend it! Headed back to Randy's house where we BBQ'd and smoked cigars, slept in late Sunday, went to the 777 brew pub downtown at the Main Street Station, and headed home after. Will post pics and videos soon.

Had to pull start a bike after the kick starter broke

Here is a view of the jump from the ground with a better camera
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWBi-yi-Wg

Here is the view of the jump from the onboard camrea. Sorry for the bad quality, I don't know how to edit videos, so I just played the video and recorded it with my cell phone and put some music to it because the audio turned out really bad otherwise...

When we were at Glamis Nick put his gopro on his electric plane and flew it up and got a aerial view of camp it was really cool, Nick you remember where that video is?

I could see where a guy could have a blast with one of them quadcoptors just not sure how much I would use it, been great to have when I was watching the Parker 425 last year could have got some good footage as they came by the check point, also would have been good for the grand kids football games :-)

try not to look at SlickRick's crotch in the start of this one lol. Right at about 4:49 is a good shot of our whole camp. I don't know how to post a screen shot photo though, maybe someone can lend a hand?

next trip I am going to fly the airplane overhead in the dunes while someone below hits a jump. Going to take a few support guys and low wind conditions, hopefully it will work.

Pretty cool, wonder how much wind/turbulence is going to be stirred up as the vehicles pass by underneath, wonder if it would affect the stability of a R/C copter overhead.......

I wouldn't think it would be too bad. If you were like 50 feet above the buggy you would be fine. I want to upgrade to a quad copter, I saw one with a built in HD 1080 camera, that would be the hot ticket right there.

I don't know much about these things, but doing a quick read on some reviews, it appears that you might want to get the one with a v222 board, 6 axis rather than 4 axis, more stable? I may order one for myself so if anyone else is researching into these please post your findings.

I was also looking for info like how high they can fly and how long they can fly, how long to recharge batteries, do they offer higher quality video cameras, things like that.

Years ago it was really popular for farmers to pay someone to fly over the farm in a plane and take aerial pictures then they made a copy about 24" x24" and framed it to hang on the wall, wonder if one of these could be used to do the same, only now could also have a video of the fly over to watch :-)

Yeah it's probably better But I don't want to spend that much money. I would hate to spend a lot of money on one then crash it. I am fine with the one I and getting, maybe one day in the future I will upgrade
