Went to my 1st BORMSA KHANACROSS last Sunday.
BORMSA stands for Beverley Off Road Motorsports Association.Bout 130kms ESE from Perth WA.
I took the AC550Pilot,purely for it's steering abilities,I love the FL800,but steering and gettin' round tight bends is not in it's nature! :-)
It's not a high whorespower track, but all about steering.

The early mornings drive there was foggy as hell, some parts could'nt see past my hoody.
Middle of winter here currently.

Never done this kinda thing before, but thoroughly enjoyed it.Just when you lose the flavour of life's chewing gum...this pops up! :-)
You do several diff tracks, all timed,1st clockwise then anti clockwise.
Bluey(cause he has Red hair)came in 1st in his 1300ccBusaCuda,me 2nd in the earth shattering AC550Pilot. :-)
We had a ball,great people,all about having fun,not playing for sheep(someone say sheep?)stations. :-)

Upon/before the presentations,it was deemed we had obvious advantages with our buggies,so we hand balled our 1st and 2nd place trophies, prizes, voucher$ down to the next rally car blokes.
Next event I'm keen on is the autocross.
2 buggies race down a short straight,LHS buggy goes left into the short loop,RHS buggy turns into it's long loop.
LHS buggy comes out first, crosses over into the RHS long loop, while the RHS buggy is just near fiinshing and cross's over to the LHS short loop.Follow?
IF buggies are matched, they SHOULD both come back out onto the straight similar time, and drag race it down the straight to finish line.
Here's an example, watch it to the end.

I'll upload some pics vids in time.
1st are the early morn fog pics;

that's a nice looking track well groomed, needs a few jumps :-)

Where did they get that collection of the large tires never seen so many tires that size all in one location, they have a big mining operation in the area?

Beverley is mainly farming, grain, and dare I say..................................sheep?...Settle down Nuke!
Don't know of any mining there, but will ask when I go back for the Autocross event next month.

Here's a helcam vid to show one of the tracks, best watched in 1080HD full screen.
Time for a new HD Helcam I reckon.

Thanks Red,what can I say,but "Great Scott,you noticed" :-)

Dougie(aka FUGLY) finally turned up after lunch, handed him my Sony cam, then he drove around to best vantage points for some vids.
Dougie has a Canam, and thought that this event was driving around /thru cones etc.
Was spewin' when he found out what it actually was,and wished he brought his buggy.

Best watched in 1080HD Fullscreen. You can hear the 550 labouring, too big mains, and wrong clutch weights.

Hi Baz,

Is that a CAMS controlled event? They wouldn't let us on the track without gloves, wrist restraints and a neck brace and i bet they wouldn't allow that cord running over your shoulder from the cam to the control box either.

They wouldn't even let me use the standard pilot wrist restraints over here!
