Reading Lee's recent post about his trip to AZ made me think... While riding off road, I have come across some fairly cool stuff. I'd have to go through all my files to find them, but I should have approximate GPS coordinates for stuff like Artesian Wells, unexplainable man made stuff in the desert, trees where there should be none, weird tributes (religious and otherwise) out in the middle of nowhere, abandoned highway sections, natural geographic oddities, etc. I have heard of people (legally) exploring areas where there is space junk from the recent NASA events, movie sets out in the desert, real quick sand, caves and underground stuff, old ghost towns, etc. Anyone know of a site that features coordinates for some of these odd attractions? |
