Well got in to the website...0 campgrounds available . My fault for not reserving earlier. Is there something going on that weekend? do not remember it ever being that busy... I will keep checking every day or two for cancellations

Hi Fully! Nice here today but still lots of big drifts, and another snow storm coming in...

If you can't get one in buttercup go for cowboy it's real close to buttercup ,Golden Sands is on the other side of the dunes good luck.

It could be the Oklahoma reservation system,I'm not too impressed. It said there were zero available 1 time when I checked it a week ago, then I tried again and there were several still available.Last time I was there a couple years ago when I checked into the main office, they were keeping track of what sites were available by a grid on paper, they had no computer system to check what sites were taken. So how it gets from the reservation system to the park to let them know sites were reserved I don't know, horse and buggy maybe? :-) .
I just checked again and its still showing 1 site left at buttercup.I followed that first link stix posted, clicked on the letter L and scrolled down to Little Sahara, clicked on find a campsite and entered the date

Redskin is right, the online system blows, that's our State run park for you. Im sure we can make room at DBloud campsite its bigger than most campsites out there. You can keep a ride or two on our site. Since they remodeled the park seems like more people show up.
There is also Deuces Wild campground which is just down the road from Buttercup. Its a little more quiet than the state run campsites, costs a couple bucks more but friendly folks run it, Sharon will work with you if you need anything there, they have a few cabins on the campground as well. https://deuceswildcampground.com/ . Snakehunt's in late march and Sandfest is in September so just another busy weekend at the dunes!!

He might need a pull through. 604 is not and it might not be long enough for his rig??

.

Still above ground here nukem. Thanks for asking.
12" more of snow ?? that's a kick in the nuts! Tornado hit about 2 hours northeast from me and about 2 1/2 hours from Waynoka. No fatalaties but 7 or 8 injured. I think it was an f2. Oklahoma is about 70000 square miles and it hit a 20 mile area. So for you folks that are scared of a little wind. I say put on your big boy britches and get on down here to the ride. Lol
