I will see what I can do for this one. I was going to maybe go down next Sunday for a day trip to do some break in.
Man its been to long. I may need to get that share set up and send it to the dipnadactyl. He is having a rough go of it.
Plus I want to go for a ride in the new car. Spoil me please.

Hey a little eye candy - aka, nudge for anyone still on the fence...

Guess what I broke out of the moth balls today...
( More like unburied from back of shop )

It's Loud... Likes big air... and will climb like a bear...

I don't think I've had it out in the last 10 years... :-)

I do plan on bringing it to LS...

10 years? You don't use it enough, you should probably just give it away to a worthy person deserving of it,say someone like me :-)

Well maybe the Drak is partly to blame....

Speaking of such it's been at least 2 years since it went Sky-Sand-Sky-Sand

I finially just today, got around to putting it under the knife for repairs...

Rich - back issues are a major pain ( I would not wish it on anyone )

Take it easy and recover, give the docs the hard ass treatment as they charge way too much for an educated guess ( Anyone that knowns me, knows I call them all QUACKS... )

Any keep the rubber side down and hope to catch you next trip...

I Just got back - home

Eric left this morning and hopefully he beat all the crazy weather
Mark and I left around 4pm today and were actually chased out by a big storm

I ended up driving just under 8 hrs in heavy rain and wind across 3 states - Good Grief
I heard on the local radio that there were 19 confirmed tornados near Wanoka and the upper west Oklahoma areas tonight - Glad we busted out when we did - Had to squeeze in 1 or 2 more rides today

Speaking of Rides and Carnage...
What a crazy ride trip this turned out to be...

I will let others fill in as they wish but I will say for the record - I have not lost my touch for barrow-rolling a pilot - sorry you missed it Eric but Styx got a front row seat...

Sorry no video or evidence of said event other than a broken flag and cracked front fender...

More to follow...
Dennis

I think the sand had a mind of its own on this trip. First ride of the day I was following with Dennis in front, eric in second and I was bring up the end when I missed a turn and went off into a "witches eye"(see pic below I pulled off the interweb of the mystic witches eye, new dune terminology to me) anyhow there were trees in that eye and I had no place to go but down but a grove of evergreen trees were in my way, so between the 3 of us breaking branches and inching the Tazcar over just enough to aim the front of the Taz into a nice little trail that led me out, whew!
I will say the sand was beautiful and smooth from North to South. We saw another Pilot with a little kid driving it. Also saw a Redline Revolt, i chattted up the guy, he said he pulled the stock Engine and gearbox and installed a Yamaha Nitro Engine with RPM gearbox, it sounded like a beastly thing, could hear it all the way into the campground.
I also got to see Dennis' FL670 take a run, had to pull start the damn thing but when it fired up it ws music to my ears, wow sounded great and ripped thru the sand, too bad the throttle cable sticks and had to pit it.
Second day I stayed in the RV to have breckfast in the morning while eric and dennis wen out, well Ill let Eric fill in on those details.
Anyhow we wrapped it up on Thursday early due to storms moving in. On the way home and only a few miles from the dunes the wife and i saw the tornadoe that was heading to the dunes, Later I heard that it fizzled out over the dunes. So we dodged that bullet, my wife took a pic out of the RV through the window screen so its a little blurry but it was majestic!. Hope no one got hurt.
