Tazcar sounds bad ass! Also sounds pretty windy which I guess is good for smoothing the sand out

Well another excellent ride. Good to have friends that know how to cook! Nobody likes to drag race but Special Ed does so I took him up on the challenge, he rode a Polaris RS1 1000 with a Boondocker turbo kit, it was a rocket and I stayed with him in the Tazcar from the starting line to the finish about 2 buggy lengths behind, yea I lett him win!?! . We had a torrential downpour on Thursday night/Friday morning that about floated DBloudharleys RV away, like 5 inches in 3 hours. Sand went from choppy to smooth then back to choppy then back to smooth on Saturday. I have never seen so many people in the North campground. At one time there were 20 UTVs waiting in line at the dune entrance and as soon as one entered another got in line. I think this Corona virus has got people flocking to anything but staying at home. NObody wrecked or broke down, I did tow "somebody" in a few times but that was due to prototype machines. My video editing PC went down so it will be a while before I post video footage. Gotta get back out there again soon, missed ya EZ

Special Ed, no I didnt let him win, though after I got a decent holeshot I stayed with him. ZeroClient's epic Rotax Odyssey and Rotax Pilot were on the fritz so I "took one for the team" and let him win in the stocker Pilot :-) :-)

Finally got some video uploaded, Note: this video was shot with a 360 6K camera so this video can be played in your VR headset ,or just watch it as normal on your flat screen but remember you can use your mouse to move the video perspective around to see different angles, also be sure to change the resolution to 4K in the Youtube player to get best quality.

We had a caravan of about 15 UTV's quads, including me in the Tazcar with 360 camera, ZeroClients Pilot, Special Eds turbo RS1 and Mark's Drakart Tiger. The video starts at the entrance of the North part of dunes, then we head over to the south "drag" area traveling through the rolling dunes and through trails and ending up at South area. At this time I face off with Special Eds turbo Rs1, we had 2 or 3 races, the last race I finally got a good hole shot but he still pulled away, have to google turbo Apex  . Let me know if ya'lls PC can play the 4K video(actually 6K but Boobtube only handles 4K). thx!

On that linked video you can finger your way around 360 Degrees and see the full lineups. At 22:20 you can see my pilot actually hit a good hole shot. Dare I say I was with Ed for about 3 feet and also a nose length ahead of the Tazcar for a full 2 seconds!

The only machine I could flat out beat was a Rzr800. Nothing else was there to compare.

Heres video from the ride trip for my fellow VR nerds. The view from the passengers seat is really immersive in VR. Ill have to remember to mount the camera inside the cockpit more often..

Wow that's a nice video of us, and my Rotax 600HO LT pilot (Which was having troubles LOL!) Seems at 15:00 minutes we were pulling pretty hard for a moment there; It looked like I was outrunning you! I did not get any personal video of me driving this machine so thanks for posting!

The problem with my machine was the MAG side carb was flooding the Engine out. Likely a leaking N/S also caused by fuel pressure. After 10~15 seconds of a hard pull that side would start to mis-fire over-rich and drop EGT from 1100F down to about 600F. AF meter would go toward lean from it rich-misfiring. I tried a few times to fix this while at the dunes but I could not. I think (hope) I was able to fix it here back home since. One measly O-Ring, and the needle of the seat itself had some wear/burrs on it which can cause hang-up. Now both N/S can hold good pressure on my bench.

couple of things, do you have your camera mounted on a gimbal?
did you find your starbucks coffee drink under your seat?
and if you're going to blow a stop, you should edit it out of the video :-)

nice vid, you guys need to make the long haul out to Glamis, super bowl weekend is one of the best.

No gimbal, can you believe it, Insta360 really stepped up their game with their Flowstate image stabilization, I was gunning for the Moza Guru360 gimbal but this camera just doesnt need it. Found the coffee :-) Blowing stop signs is my specialty. More to come. Glamis along with St. Anthony is on the Bucket list

I noticed that usually if mounted solid the car will remain stationary but I could see the roll cage moving quite a bit.
I have a little gopro session with image stabilization I have noticed the same but not quite as much.
keep up the good work.
if you go to Glamis or Dumont plan for November thru April, end of October is usually still on the warm side and so is end of April.
St A. season I believe starts late May to September? there you need to avoid the snow, also I believe they close for the winter for the elk herds that are in the area
