Set your dates straight! We’re planning this trip for sure! So far there’s three of us planning to book sites from Oct 15-17 this month. We’ll post the camp site name Tonight or tomorrow once we’ve confirmed booking. So far it’s me, stix, and I believe Redskinman.

Looking for folks like fl670, adnoh, and others to come join us!

Not sure if I will be ready. I will see when closer. Still got some issues to iron out. Thanks for the invite. If I don't have bike and body ready I may just swing by to say hi, see and hear that twin.

Cool dune pic. I went out this morning and re valved the front and changed springs out for a new front set up. Will see what that does. Got the drive set up for what I thin is a good combo of rpm and run out. Launches hard with the front Lifting up about a foot and drives forward and sets smoother than before. I will test this weekend and see what if any I need to change. I beat the twin can wheel stand at will.

Forgot to add I thought I was having a reed /jetting issue so I pulled the plug and ran comp check. Then I noticed I had a N3C in it. My combustion chamber and jetting is set up for a N4C. I was wicking to much heat out of the combustion camber. What a rookie!

Come on people! I'm driving almost 15 hours to do this ride. I would LOVE to meet new folks and have a blast out there! Also I'm planning to do another shrimp boil Friday night, but only if people are interested!

Would love to join you guys, but since I was just there in mid September, I won't be able to make this trip.

Take some picts and enjoy your sand fix...

Yes I just made it home earlier today. I took three machines, and all ran well aside from a few fouled spark plugs on my FL600 Dave-Co pilot. I leaned out the mains about 20 points and that helped me gain some top-end from cleaning it up. Other than that and a broken but completely fixable in 5 minutes starter wire - no show-stopping issues with my main machine! On the last night after we put Stix's Tazcar away, we got a bug to do a midnight Pilot run (3 Pilots). That was the only time my FL400 pilot was taken off the trailer for Marc to drive. Also my FL350/617 Rotax was never started and never taken off the trailer... So I had days of FUN in my FL600ho LT Dave-Co pilot!

We met a random-er named Jake from Denver who showed up with another Rotax pilot which made things a little interesting!

Marc's Tazcar Fox 2.0 shocks are with me right now (I took the shocks home with me to rebuild them for him). Actually, we spent a LOT of time getting Marc's suspension dialed in, and made plans for re-valving, enabling the crossover, adding bump stop, and rebuilding etc. I already took some of the shocks apart and right now all I can say is his Tazcar likely hasn't had any suspension control in years. The front shocks were almost completely out of oil!!!! (To Marc, this is likely why raising the front pre-load helped so much, because the shock was working 'in' the oil after raising the front, but also why the front still became so slop-happy at higher speeds - when the shock piston was just moving air when above what little oil was left... lol)

Blue Fox oil SUCKS!
