Maybe some of you guys down under are going on this trip or can maybe just run part of it with them, offer assistance when they are in your area?

Quote:
Its a Ride from Cairns in QLD Australia to Cape York in Far north QLD (the tip of Down Under) and back again via a different trail...... there is nothing there...... a few little places hundreds of miles apart, with not much more than a 1 pump gas station.
There are about 35 of us in total , a mix of Quads and RZR's.
1550 miles in 10 days through a mix of dirt roads and jungle, 3 foot water crossings etc etc......
Its about as far away from spare parts as you can get, and that's the part I love about it....its a true adventure
anyway you will see plenty of Pics.........Promise

The boys are talking the ruggedness of the trip up a little :-)
A mate and me done this trip on bikes about 25 years ago (fuuk I`m starting to feel old )
We rode from Sydney to Cairns (2700km Tar roads) in about 2 1/2 days then from Cairns to Cape York (1000km the adventure part) in 5 days.
Might I suggest that the path has improved a bit in 25 years
:-)
I`m not sure how they are going about doing it legally as RZR`s have no ADR and cannot be registered for road use, 99% of the roads/ tracks are on public land, I would say the trip would end with the first copper they meet. :-)

There are a couple of routes but both are well traveled by 4x4.
If they wanted a REAL adventure they should have done the trip last month right at the end of the Wet Season after all the roads have been washed out :-)
Due to tropical rains (Wet Season) the area is not accessible by vehicles from about November to March.

The trip would still have a huge fun factor though :-)
