Stoneman went but did not race.

I read a race report on minibuggy. The race mini buggy class consisted of odypilots, K-fab, Atvnut, and Chris a former Baja SAE guy with a modded SAE buggy. Apparently all vehicles are on the track at the same time; this means mini buggies, UTV's, and large Jeeps/rock crawlers. This meant lots and lots of dust. odypilots DNF'ed due to visibility, K-fab rolled and broke a coolant fitting and had to DNF, Chris broke a suspension tab and DNF'ed, so Atvnut took the win.

You can see K-fab and odypilots in this video:

Thanks for the update, glad everybody is ok that dust can be a killer it sucks not being able to see and its amazing watching racing greats like Walker Evens drive into a dense cloud of dust blind yet still WOT (Wide Open Throttle) and pull it off.

Sorry to hear about the carnage hope to see everybody finish, how long was the race?

Any pics?

Next race?

Whats the point of over zooming the video, good coverage of the spectators

What was the lap time for that track, don't think I will ever miss that badlands dust looks the same as last time I was their

Big teams have SPOTTERS that are in radio contact with drivers... They can see the course from a better viewpoint, and will tell the drver what line to take, or if there is anything in the cloud of dust...

I wasn't there I don't have any more info. Maybe Stoneman will chime in.

I hope to make it to at least one of these races this year. If not the next one at the end of the month, then one over the summer.

Starting at the bottom of this link and onto the next page is a full recap of the race. http://www.minibuggy.net/forum/events-group-gatherings/14803-04-02-11-trec-attica-2.html

These pics are from Chris with the modded SAE buggy. Lining up to start with those large vehicles behind seems a little intimidating...

Never been to a offroad race where it was not either dust or mud and visibility is almost nothing for most the race, when conditions seem good I was getting the shit beat out of my from flying debris when trying to pass.

Looked fun in video.
