I got an e-mail from the promotor that he will start a class to allow the Odessey/Pilots race... Here are the dates, as more information of locations come I'll update. I would love to see a few of you midwest guys show up... The UTVs race on Saturdays and I would be willing to help host a few riders.

New for 2012 the IATVHSS will be promoting a new series named the (ISCS) Iowa Short Course Series. This will be a 3 race series in 2012 and grow to 5 races in 2013. All ISCS races will be held at county fair arenas, in Iowa with many unique twists and turns to our sport. All events will consist of 1 hour open practice, 2 heats, B Mains, and A Mains. Racers will draw numbers for position in the first heat, and then we will invert the finishing order for the second heat line-up. Finishing positions will determine how you qualify for the A or B mains. Having not qualified for the A main, you will have one chance left to qualify through the B main. Another twist will be that we will not use the traditional starting gate, instead we will have a pace vehicle that will lead each race around until the start , then the rider on the pole will start the race in a designated area between 2 chalked lines.
The track will all be designed for the SxS units in mind, example all jumps will be tapered table tops with optional passing lanes. All Tracks are set up to offer entertainment for the grandstands, a different style of racing for riders and designed not to tear up equipment that anybody can compete in. Classes will be offered in SxS, and ATV, adult and youth.

The schedule for the inaugural season will be
Friday, July 20 @ Appanoose County Fair in Centerville, Iowa
Wednesday, July 25 @ Warren County Fair in Indianola, Iowa
Saturday, Aug 4 @ Lucas County Fairgrounds in Chariton, Iowa

Rounds 1 and 2 will be starting at approximate 4:30 racing under the lights.

I'm interested in these, about 3.5 hr drive each way for me but I could have 1 or possibly 2 machines there.
