I'm probably gonna be in Vegas the April 23rd to the 26th to pick up a pilot and wanted to ride a couple days while there. Know nothing about where to ride so looking for input. Thanks Eric

Hit up ProPilotPopper he is in vegas and can help you out, maybe even go for a ride with you.

So every day you will be staying in a motel not camping?

How many days do you have will you be riding alone?

Hey Eric, I'm located in south east Henderson out by the lake. I am not positive yet but may be taking a trip out to the Bahamas during that time. Still putting things together and trying to see if I can make it work. If not. I could probably take ya out for a day or two. Shoot me a PM with your number and I'll get ahold of ya later on tonight.

If you have Google Earth installed you can download this attached file and open it in Google Earth and see where I rode.

On this ride I parked/camped at the dry lake bed just South of vegas then rode to Primm it was a 92 mile ride, a Pilot gets about 40 miles per tank so you will never make this trip without taking gas with you.

Thanks for all the information Hoser, looks like Nellis will be the best, but definitely checking out all the info. If I wasn't staying in LV I'd head back right away and just ride the area, but gotta lose some money first. :-) Need to figure out a way to haul some gas and goodies on the pilot to really go wild. Would love to do the trail ride you mentioned that was 90 miles.

PPP I sent you a PM.

That is what I like about the RZR so much its my desert machine I throw a 5 gallon can of gas in the back (JAZ jug) plenty of water and some food then go this gives me a range of about 200 miles, I could never have seen all the desert I have seen using a Pilot even with a 5 gallon add on tank.

All the places I listed except for Armogosa dunes are close enough to Vegas you can do day trips I love it with the RV I just park, camp, ride get bored with the area move to the next area setup camp and ride :-)

I love staying downtown when i go to vegas. The Golden butt Nugget is nice, I like staying at the Main Street Station, their 777 brew pub is awesome, good buffalo wings and micro brew (black chip porter). I prefer to gamble at the California hotel, back in march I came up about $1200 playing blackjack! Of course by the end of the weekend, i had donated some back, spent most, paid for gas, food, beers, etc...came home about $100 ahead LOL!

PPP is a cool guy to meet and hang with, just be careful when you ride with him, he likes to roll every now and then...LOL! There are a few videos of his roll overs floating around on this site via the youtubehole

I havent really gone on any long rides like that in my RZR. Longest I did was down in Glamis, we did a perimiter run, circled around the entire dunes, clocked abuot 80 miles, took a 5 gallon gas can and didnt have to use it! Barely made it back on fumes LOL!

Who says PO isn't the best site in the world?

The Darkside does lmao its not my opinion its a fact, when you read something about Pilots and Odysseys on other sites then search pilotodyssey.com using Google 9 out of 10 times you will find out it was thought of, asked, discussed, refined etc. at pilotodyssey.com first then the knowledge was spread around to other places, the site is working as intended and designed :-)

Its a shame Kiowa shut down my first site Pilot-Odyssey.com their was a shit load of my work and others deposited at Pilot-Odyssey.com, hope Kiowa and the darkside mutts are proud how they coned Kiowa into claiming ownership of my site and my work forcing me to start this site, where are all them losers now, gone with all the great info, sweet legacy they have left behind huh, anybody remember back in the days of the take over of my old site will I am here to tell you "I told you so" :-) I am glad we have purged the system of all them mutts...
