Last week when Tspreed came over he dropped off a FL250 bottom end that murph4478 gave me wanted to see if I could do something with it, I will let him fill in the history of this Engine but I am pretty sure it was part of his project 340 swap project found here viewtopic.php?t=9584

Typical FL350 bottom end, many years of grease oil dirt everyplace, someone removed the top end then naturally they didnt pour oil in the bottom end and then cover it up or put into a plastic bag so its all rusted up.

Their is end play on the crank shaft so their is clearance between the crank and the inner race of the bearings or clearance between the outer race and the cases, this is a common problem with a FL250 Engine and easily fixed.

Flywheel still installed, naturally someone tried to remove the flywheel and got all caveman on it, the end of the crankshaft is all mushroomed up, they screwed up the threads where the flywheel puller goes I had to take a grinder and grind out the damaged area of the threads to install my puller and pull the flywheel.

Arrows point to the damage threads.

Once the threads were repaired the puller installed the flywheel came right off with no effort at all.

Next the stator plate needs removed.

The first thing you need to do before even thinking about trying to remove the 3 screws is to take a long flat punch and tap the heads of the screws really hard 2-3 times each then take a proper fitting quality screwdriver and smack them again with a hammer and using the screw driver.

These 3 came out without the use of my impact, a good smack on the heads of these screws works 99% of the time.
