Does anyone know where you can still get reduction case chains? Years ago when we rebuilt it we put the endless chain in but I cant find them anywhere. I don't really want a splice link but is that what everyones doing now?

Have one made where they press it together do not use the master link thing....

All kinds of different quality and strengths on chains use a reputable shop that has experience with the chains they are selling.

DO NOT USE A MASTERLINK. I did this years ago trying save a buck and it let loose and trashed my cases.

O-rings are not needed as it is in a oil bath.

Like Hoser said.... I would try to buy a non o-ring chain that is peened together.

Any bike shop that works on street bikes should have the chain I removed the O rings for less drag it does not need them the chain was bought for its strength properties any shop should be able to cut it to length then using a chain press tool made to join links press the chain together without a master link and it becomes as strong as any other link in the chain.

Its been done a million times if the guy tries to talk you into a master link your at the wrong shop and he is a lazy dumb ass go to another shop.
