I have a random question for you guys... I have a 1984 fl250. It likes to foul plugs, is this the carb being set too rich? After sitting for 2 months, i put a new plug in it(it fouled the old one) and fired up second pull, but this leads me to my second question. When it starts, all the exhaust seems to come from where the carb mounds to the head, and from where the exhaust pipe connects with the head. I know i have to re seal up the exhaust pipe, but whats the deal with the exhaust coming from the carb tube? is this considered an air leak? Any tips on fixing this issue? also, could this be a result of a plugged exhaust pipe?

Look close and make sure the exhaust on the intake side is not coming from the head gasket leaking and its blowing exhaust out above the manifold.

Whats your plug look like viewtopic.php?t=870
