Hi all, I read every thread I could find here on the fl250 hubs and am not finding complete info. I read that the 86-89 trx250 hubs work on the odyssey front, to make them 4/144…but what about the rear, will these same hubs work on the rear? I have the 3 lug hubs on the front, and the 4 lug hubs on the rear, guessing the rears are 4/110. Not exactly sure what that means, but all I want to do is put a more universal hub on the front and rear so that I can use bigger rims and tires…thank you for any help :) Looked all through the shop manual and there is nothing on hub lug sizes…this is apparently classified information lol…

Oh, Curious…just picked up another fl250 frame, with a triple E roll cage and extended "J" arms…$80…i'm guessing I got a slammin good deal, anyone know what that cage is worth?

The bolt pattern on the rear of a fl250 is 4/130, not sure what other hubs fit the rear, it's been about 12 years since I have owned a FL250.
Post some pictures of your odyssey's .
Were are you located??? Hoser should make it mandatory to fill in the location when signing up so we don't have to ask every time somebody new gets on the board. :-)

Thank you :-) What do those numbers mean? And as soon as it's done pics will post. It's all torn down right now, still cleaning, and getting ready for paint. It's gonna look sweet when it's done!

4/130 means it is a 4 lug hub and the studs are 130mm apart , mostly used on the odyssey's and a few quads.
You can start a new thread in the PROJECT section and show your work while you are building it so wee can see what you are working with and NOT just the finished product.

This is basically what I am doing, just different colors…This guy converted fl350 hubs for the 250…how does that work? Or are those hubs compatible? As for pics of my build, as soon s I dump em off the phone i'l post.

And heres another thought, I'm a newbie and all, but will new hubs like the above mentioned 86-89trx hubs, do I take the bearings out of the original hubs and put em in the new hubs, do they fit?

I sent you a pm with all the right info.

also the bearings are the same. only take them out if they are bad.
bearings are cheap anyways so i'd just replace them with all balls racing or skf bearings, do not buy no name ebay china ones.

I guess i will post the info for other readers:

1986-89 Trx 250R front hubs do work, just replace the outside seal and spacer with the odyssey ones or just grind the trx spacer down 1/8" to get the cotter pin to line up.
i'm not sure if the year matters for the rear, but im using as listed on ebay-300ex-400ex-trx450r years listed was 94-2006

i have these on my odyssey and they work 100%. the trx 250r rear hubs "do not work" they are 25 spline and the odysseys are 24spline.

Pete
