I'm about to put the Engine back together and am curious before I start…the exhaust manifold gasket…the copper one. It has an indent around the inner edge, likely to allow expansion when tightened upon…does it matter how i put it in, indent up or down? Also, with the head being off the Engine…i noticed there is oil in the crank case below the piston crank…is it supposed to be there, if so should I change it, and how much should be there?

machined smooth side to the head. that's what i did, and been running fine and no leaks. i will take a look through old pics to make sure.

prob just evaporated gas and oil left over. 2 stroke use the fuel oil mix to lube the motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )).

heres a diagram link on how they work.

notice the exhaust sucks and blows. so an exhaust leak will affect the lean/richness of your motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )).

Did it just like that :) So it's all together, just gonna paint the top bold heads before I tighten it all down, need to borrow a torque wrench, make sure its right. Stripping parts and the cage bit by bit, friend of a friend has a paint booth, gonna do it up nice for a very fair price :)) Just started a rebuild picture thread in the projects section…have a look, thoughts and opinions are welcome :)

Mine will look similar to this one, different colors/rims/tires…some air mods and a lotta detail.
