Post subject: | attaching spark arrestor problem |
as you can see i got two self tapping screws. they just keep backing out, and i lost one. so anyone got any ideas? welding wont work right? steel pipe with an aluminum spark arrestor. maybe steel jacketed rivets. any help would be cool |

The one that was on my fl350 w/DG pipe just had a large hose clamp around it. It always stayed in place and never had any issues |

I hate them sparky spark arrestors they can be a pain in the ass, first I sealed mine with black silicone sealer then put the screws in and tighten them snugly then take a large hose clamp and put it around and over the top of the sheet metal screws so they cant back out. You can use 3/16 pop rivets but vibration will get to them sooner or later and make them vibrate loose too. |
