So, my father hit something while driving one of my 250's, and through off the toe-in. I see no signs of obvious damage or dents. I was able to re-set the toe-in, but I had to adjust the tie rod a bit to do so. So, what bent? Is it possible he bent the bar the j arm is attached to, causing the described wheel setting to be off? If so, can it be bent back?

You say the toe in is wrong but by how much ??
Are you sure it was correct to begin with ??

The other thing that can bend is the frame pivot support for the J arm...take your shock off and let it rest on the bum stop and take a measurement from the j arm to the chassis and do the same with the other side and if their both the same...All's good

I'll try to snap a pic. I just set it not more than a month ago, and it was turning well. With the steering whell centered, the one wheel looked like it was turning left, and at full lock turning left the the tie rod end was rubbing the rim. I had to adjust the tir rod out about an inch of threads (half inch on both ends) for it to look right. It turned properly when I got done, but the threads on the other side are not showing nearly as much on the problem side. I am going to measure like ozzie said the next time I get down to NJ.
