Hello everyone.

I'm in preparation to take on a bit of a project. I want to start making a line of Cylinder heads for vintage two stroke ATVs, such as the Odyssey FL250, ATC 250R from 81-84, Yamaha Trimotos, etc.

The line will be called Redhead. (Company name if this all goes ahead will be Redhead Performance Products). All Cylinder Heads would be anodized red, made out of 6061-T6 billet aluminum, all CNC machined instead of cast or extrusion.

It is a successor to DG's past performance products which they have not, and will not manufacture again (they've made that clear.)

The first I will be attempting is a small run of FL250 77-84 Cylinder heads. Porcupine/Radial style, with increased cooling and compression over stock.

I'm trying to gauge the market to see if this is even feasible or a pipe dream. I'm not asking for deposits, but I am asking for interest.

Retail as of now (super early, this could shrink or grow), will be between $300-400 USD.

Anyone interested?

To be honest you would make WAY more sales making FL350 liquid cooled heads.
Not to many FL250's around. Even though this site is for all oddy's, almost all are FL350 and FL400 owners. The owners that have the FL250 are a rarity here.

In my opinion any aftermarket heads for odysseys should be water cooled. My odyssey fl250 overheats even with my water-cooled head, but maybe that's because it got 100 degrees this summer in Tulare CA.
