I have a 1982 FL250 that I just dropped a racing
Engine with a water cooled head into. The intake boot is for a 32 mm carb. I have a stock 28 mm Keihin which I could find a boot for but that got me thinking - should I go bigger ;)?
Would either of these carbs work with this Engine?

If not any recommendations on a 32 mm Mikuni?
Thanks
We have the FL350 oddy and run the TM38.
CAUTION: there is more than one model of TM38. Read this:

I think you will find that the TM38 may not fit into your intake boot. It may try to spit it out.
The bigger the carb the less signal you will get, so you MAY be fiddling with the jets sizes to find a happy spot. I would say forget about the 40.
Another thought is if it is a set up race Engine and it has a 32 boot then may be it was set up for a 32 carb. Just a thought.
