I removed my muffler, and the bolt that bolts it to the frame has grown legs and walked off.

What are the specs on that bolt? It looks to be an M10, but I've tried M10 x 1.25 and M10 x 1.50 and they won't screw in. Is it an M10 x 1.0? If so, what is the length?

I looked on Partzilla but they don't have the size of that bolt since they don't have it in stock.

Thanks

Not sure which bolt you are referring too but below is pdf of the parts book. In it they give the bolt sizes.
As for where to get bolts -- any machine shop or a place like Fastenal will have it.

It's part #96500-08016-08 8x16 flange bolt it says.

It's the one that secures the muffler to the frame (right behind the seat).

Thanks

Well then it's not a 10mm bolt is it ??
According to that part number it is an 8mm and 16mm long.
And a standard size 8mm bolt is 1.25 pitch. https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-info ... Pitch.aspx

OK, found the problem

Apparently whoever had this buggy before me had broken that bolt off. It was retapped at 3/8", so a 3/8 x 16 fit.

Thanks again
