Hey all, I just purchased a couple 250's, but they are tough to start. It's there such a thing as a primer kit?

First step make sure the carbs are clean.
This is my experience, I find 2 strokes like a little fuel in their bellies before they will fire up, at least the bigger ones do. The CR and Kx 500s you’d lean over until gas leaks out carb and then several slow kicks to put a prime in the cylinder. My buggy has a sled Engine and I put a primer on it with a line to each carb., which I push several times and then with switch still in off position I pull it over as if to start it (I’m not pulling easy) three times, put the switch into start position and in one more pull purrs to life.
Once your machines are running do they run, how long do you need to keep the choke on to keep them from stalling.
Congratulations on your machines, it’s an addiction.

Good suggestions, I will start there. I bought these for my kids, they need to learn to work on stuff and find problems, fix them. Thanks for the info.

You ever see anyone do a electric-motor (( Internal Combustion Engine ? )) conversion?

I have a friend who is dying for an electric conversion. If you decide to pursue this please post your progress, it's an avenue I'd love to explore.
