One issue I have not been able to solve myself is my choke will not stay on. I push the lever down and it slides right back down. Is there a rubber gromit in the carb? I thought that it was the rubber boot but I think that it is there just for protection.

You have the stock 250 carb?

Going by memory I thought their was something mechanical external to the choke that held the choke in position like the arm of the lever fell into a notch or something?

You are correct sir! There's a metal arm with a catch. It was out of line.

I'm not sure if you saw the plug pics but I'm wondering if I'm running lean.

That is a great thread. Lot's of knowledge!

Rich works for me! I just don't want to burn it up being lean. I need to heat cycle her a few more times and then I will dial in the carb.
I guess having a stack of plugs would be smart.

I did get side tracked though. I'm going to Pismo Memorial Weekend so I have a line of toys waiting for my attention. Yesterday my buddy dropped off a pair of Honda TRX400s that need a lot of work. They sat outside for 3 years. I just ordered $450 in parts just to get them back running.

I also have a 83 200x that it completely broken down that I would like to have ready but I doubt I will have time for it. This ATC has been apart as long as my odyssey was. Since it has been years I started the parts search and the only thing I cant find is my bolts bag! So getting it together is going to take awhile.
