Here is the cylinder I would be adapting to the FL350 bottom end, looking at the port layout its probably what they used to make a few of them race engines.

This is Nukems cylinder.

Needs bored its well worn looks like it was run hot for a while lol the wear is shown by running a ridged hone over the cylinder sunnen AN-112 a flex hone wont show you this.

Thanks for the cleanup/inspection. Bad news is they don't make a YZ490 piston that big(90mm---.80 over max) so a new sleeve will be required. Crap. Max on a CR480/500 piston is 91.00MM but they use a 20mm wrist pin and the fl350 and YZ490 rods use 18mms.

can you find a different rod ?

or over bore a stock rod to fit ?

look at a seadoo pwc 1997 650 the rod is very close with a 20 mm small end piston pin bearing is 20x25x22

Good idea Speed, nice to have options. I had not thought about that...but I am still going to be short for a wide enough piston. There may be a few other big bore piston models(91.50mm???) but then I got to start watching for wrist pin to dome distance(deck height?). The whole thing was an experiment, air cooled jug so would not do well on long runs anyway. I was originally looking at milling down the CR500 jug. I still like the shorter rods rev over the longer rod trq...but that's just me. Again, thanks for the inputs!

Strange, the hot rods link doesnt show 350 rods. The only rod rebuild I had done had a hotrod kit in it. hmmmm

Cool, Thanks, must have missed that somewhere. I have several cranks around here. They are marker either "S10" or "S11". Never noticed that before, wonder what the difference is? Different runs or maybe the CR250 rod?
