Here is a CR500 cylinder of Nukems he bought for a CR500 project he has now decided not to do.

Needs bored for sure uneven cylinder wear reveled by using a Sunnen AN-112 ridged stone hone a flex hone will follow the uneven bore and not show this.

What's the work involved in putting a cr500 top end on the top ofmy pilot Engine?
It looks like it needs are bore and new oversized piston anyway, so may go with putting a cr 500 top end on if its possible as I have a cr500 in the garage somewhere!! :-)thanks!

Lots of fab work required to put the CR500 cylinder on a Pilot you have to relocate the studs weld up then machine the cases to match etc.

I still have Nukems CR500 cylinder if anybody needs a spare I am pretty sure its still for sale.

I think postage may be the killer there!! :-/ is the results worth the effort? Or would you recommend the re bore and a o/s piston?
