I have had the great pleasure of purchasing my first Triple EEE. The car is in amazing shape from what I have researched on the net/forums.
The car is basically turn key currently. I will do fluids changes and such over the coming weekend. I went over the frame and Engine for several hrs yesterday and found no cracks, broken welds, nothing. I would love any feedback from you guys where these frames and or engines are suspect to cracks, etc. The head has a decal on it, any ideas where that manufacturer is?
Some pictures.

Tryed to start the car today. Since it is all new to me I wanted to make sure I know everything on it. I do not have any clue if the dash controls are stock or not, but in this case the starter works off a push button not key. The is a keyed switch but it wired for the main power to be turned off/on that is it. There is a separate switch for the external water pump and fan as well. Is this stock to these machines?
Anyway the starter button was stuck on, so it needs to be replaced and the battery went dead as well. This car has a charging system in it, do the gen 3 car typically have them? It is based off a FL 350 Odyssey with minor splices. You can see the starter in this picture:

The Engine from what I can find is a typical Gen 3 Engine. If you look closely at this picture there is a decal on the head, any idea on what/who made this head?

Also included are the original owners race totes. These totes are cataloged for each and every race in a log he kept. There is basically a replacement for everything on the Gen 3 excluding the Engine and frame. It does have spare carbs, reeds, heads, jugs, BUT NO PISTONS for some reason. You name it I got it, even have 4 tubes in case of a tire going down!

Now something I thought was way way cool. Included with the purchase was a log book. In this log book 1 of the owners cataloged each and every setting he had or made on the Gen 3 for each and every race. Tire pressures, toe in, main jets, clutch pucks, temp, since 1992!! Here are some pictures for you.

Trans is a chenowoth mini mag tranny. Impossible to find parts for. Cylinder is BV Bob Victorino. Engine is mostlikely 350 cc ported good. Reliable but much less hp then the briggs engines. Wheels are champion wheels out of cali. Intake manifold is a mossburger.

Most people ran the charging systems it was just the natures recepie guys ran without them to run higher rpms. The main power kill switch was required by mteg (mickey thompson entertainment group). You should have a main power switch 1was fan switch 1 water pump switch and a starter button and a kill switch.

Have not raced one yet. I have owed a few eee cars now. Yes a roberto box can be swapped in but one of his current style. Just will need to be lined up and new mounts fabed up. Your car looks good still. I was gonna purchase it a few years ago when it was out here in cali bit I thought the owners price was a bit too high. I do remember him saying he had a spare tranny for it. Did you get it in your deal by chance?

Yes, but honestly the leg room is more of an issue then the helmet room. I was thinking of moving the pedals forward maybe 8-10 inches to give me a bit more room.I do not want to permanently weld these new mounts in to keep the car "true" but perhaps a bolt in mod?. Currently my knees are dam close to the cage bar under the wheel and I can see it causing many bruises. That's the biggest issue, the helmet does not bother me, but then again I have not ridden it.
I also wish to use the cable style choke and get away from the manual 1 I currently have. I have seen the briggs built 1's and I might try to get one of these cables.

I do not have a clue. They were quite popular on the West Coast back in the day from what I have read. Here on the East Coast you really don't see or hear about them alot.

The old owner of the car Bob raced it a few times out at Glen Helen in 2009-2010. It is a fast car and handles well. Somewhere on youtube there is video of Bob coming up a little short on the double and taking it for a tumble.
