Had a new member look at the ride for a purchase the other day, he left empty handed though  The fenders I installed are not really to my liking and I am thinking of yet another replacement set on the ride.
Engine runs great, no issues with jetting as well.

He did not explain but said he is moving overseas and needs them gone. He wants to sell some other Pilots I sold him(5 total) but I did not bite, got too many here.

Ha, I was at a car show last week, one of the guys there had a 67 Camaro he was showing. He told me he owned the car back in high school 70s' circa, after all these years for what ever reason he kept the VIN. He looked it up online 5 or 6 years ago and ended up buying the car back. Anyhow I thought it was a neat story. Have fun with your old friend Mud

Had a chance to look over the Pilot yesterday. The previous owner told me he had driven it 2 times in the yard and that was it, I was a bit taken back as he purchased 5 total from me but hey you never know.
The transportation company he used did damage the ATVR rooflid but I hated that stupid looking thing anyway so it will be replaced with a VROOM top. A general check of all systems went well, it indeed looked like he never rode it, the belt was replaced when sold and it had 0 wear on it, the plug was fouled which is consistent with his claim of a short ride in the yard. Fuel was new and the tank was full, just as I left it. Compression is 173-175 my gauge does not have a detailed face like I should have but lowest it would be is 172 psi and that's is a cold check, did not run the Engine at all.
This Pilot is unchanged from the sale to the old owner. Nothing was changes, as he claimed which is great.

Driver said he just went thru some sprinkles,I told him why I wanted to know and he stuck with that story.Got a fresh tank of gas with amsoil{that's same mixture I used with my other pilot}and new plug, hopefully I'll have time to take it for quick ride tonight

Thanks guys
It arrived late last night so just getting a chance to go over it.First thing was compression check,It was 162 cold and dropped to 152 after it was warmed up,I thought it was supposed to be other way around?
I'm using harbor freight tester but it was reading pretty close to the same as a buddys who had a better name brand one.I'm going to borrow another one and check it again,Mudbogger was getting higher on his,I think he's going to check his also.
Mudbogger sent it to me dirty, can you believe that? :-)
I had to clean it up and make her purty, unfortunately the plastics don't look as good as the pictures make it look but that's ok

I have a snap-on tester and it has been very good for accuracy over the years.
I agree the compression should go up not down I would recommend retesting with another tester.
the top end does not have many hours of riding on it as I have 20 of these machines and ride less and less these days.
please let us know what you come up with, my offer we discussed offline still stands.
