I was surprised to see Honda had designed and sold something that required you to cut the stock plastic (notch the side panels ) before you could install, the previous owner of my Pilot apparently had a set of stock nerfs installed on my Pilot because they are notched they were long gone when I bought the Pilot.

The notch is not really that noticeable just seems below par for Honda design.
