 Post subject: Pilot balancer

Did anyone ever figure out if there was a way to replace the bearing on the balancer? I thought that I read something about it before the hack.

Yeah it can be done if you can get the bearing and if I remember right you can get the bearing, you just need to press the gear off the balancer shaft then remove and install the new bearing then reinstall the gear, their is a dowel pin in the gear so you don't lose the timing.

I have never done one never seen the bearing wear out but I am sure its going to happen some day for sure.

Stonemans took a dump but its only after his kid left the Engine running for 10-15 minutes while they were stopped along side a trail when someone broke down or got stuck, the Pilot was setting on a steep angle while it was at idle running and starved the bearing for oil, hard lesson to learn :shock:
